This work, depicting the destruction of Pontecorvo in the Liri Valley, is 3.3metres by 1.8 metres, oil over acrylic on stretched canvas.
It was begun in September 2005 and is due to be completed in August 2006. A companion work depicting the destroyed tower of ancient Cassino will also be painted in 2006.
